Retry
In this section you will learn how to retry a failing test before reporting it, so a transient error does not raise an alert.
Set retries
- Hover over the test in the Tests tab and click Test Settings.
- In the Retry tab, turn on Enable Retry.
- Set the Number of Retries, from 0 to 10.
- Click Save Settings.
With 2 retries, a test is attempted up to 3 times: 1 initial attempt and 2 retries.
How retry works
- When a test fails or errors, it is retried from its first step.
- If any attempt passes, the test is marked as passed; if every attempt fails, it is marked as failed.
- Every attempt is recorded in the performance history; only the final attempt decides the result.
- Notifications are sent only once all attempts are done.
